About Lisa Hooper
Lisa Hooper is an Accredited Mediator, Certified Coach and is licensed to practice New Ways for Families. As well Lisa has first-hand experience of the challenges facing individuals and families while going through divorce and dealing with domestic violence. She also has her personal growth stories of overcoming these hurdles and dealing with the emotional and financial aftermath of being a single parent. All of which have fuelled her passion. Dedication and devotion towards helping others avoid a costly, emotionally damaging system with little consideration/flexibility for the family unit, individuals and children of divorce.
Her involvement with advocacy work, after a car accident, propelled her to work on behalf of people with disabilities and chronic pain. This was done via pain management consulting with other patients, health care professionals and government officials/organizations as Chair of Action Ontario’s patient arm. Being a parent of a special needs child has provided her with a wealth of knowledge, advocacy skills and abilities to create individualized parenting plans encompassing children and adults with special needs.
With her 20 plus years of experience in HR and workplace conflict resolution she has realized that the key to any relationship issue is good communication. Her personal and professional experience, open and engaging communication skills and her innate ability to be empathetic and understanding towards all individuals without judgment makes her an excellent choice for a mediator, coach or planner. You can be well assured of a safe, enlightening, and confidential meeting where you can be open and candid when discussing your past, future and present goals. You will be empowered to come to an informed agreement or have solutions that are tailored and in the best interest for you, your children and the family unit as a whole.
